UHEI-activities: Lightpollution-Map is going well - the only problem is, that there are still not enough lightpollution data in the database. If we can get enough data, it will be no problem to finish this application. The RSS-feed is also going well and can be finished on short notice, if necessary. Otherwise it should be finished in the first quarter of 2010. "Twitterplanets" is under development and should be finished for the final reports. The only problem up to now seems to be to find an easy way for an automatic conversion of locations given in the twitter-profile into geografical coordinates. Using the API of Openstreet-Map should work but it is difficult to handle the ambiguity (same names for different locations, e.g. there iis an "Heidelberg" in Germany, USA, Southafrica, Australia, ...). If anyone has good ideas how to handle this, please tell me ;)-- FlorianFreistetter - 16 Nov 2009

(A.Belikov, 16 Nov. 2009) OmegaCEN is mapping Astro-WISE data model to existing ontological dictionary (IAU93). Present-day status - a description of each attribute of each Astro-WISE class with UCD and units. Example:

http://dbview.astro-wise.org/DbView?Queryselect=Q_dependencies&Querycat=QF_introspect&Objectselect=RawScience..&Formselect=RawScienceFrame

(cursor over attribute shows a description)
