Objectives

Ensure all project networking activities

• WP2-1: Strategy definition
  • (1) - Defines the project program
  • (2) - Oversees the project development and monitor the progress
  • (3) - Oversees the scientific aspects of the project
  • (4) - Ensures external liaisons
    • a. liaisons with the policy-making level (Europe, national agencies and policy makers in the partner countries)
    • b. explores the extension of the astronomical VObs community to other European countries
    • c. manages the liaison with other international VObs projects
  • (5) - Defines a medium term strategic plan for Euro-VO

The EuroVO-AIDA Project also realizes an update of the DCA Census of European astronomical Data Centres.

• WP2-2: Workshops
  • (1) Dissemination of knowledge, gathering feedback, and the sharing of best practice in the European scientific and data provider communities
  • (2) Technology Forums

• WP2-3: Community dissemination

• WP2-4: International co-operation on the definition of IVOA standards

• WP2-5: Liaison with other communities
  • (1) Explores the possible future collaboration with other scientific disciplines and other communities (e.g. the Digital Library community)
  • (2) Provides input for the medium term strategic plan

• Contact with the communities developing generic frameworks and tools
