Technical requirements for hands on sessions
Participants to the workshop will have the opportunity to learn how to publish test data
(as well as their own datasets) to the VO. In order to run the hands on sessions, the
installation and configuration of several softwares prior to the workshop is recommended.
Support will be available to finalize configuration/troubleshooting of the needed software
before the sessions, but participants are highly encouraged to install the following softwares
before the workshop:

: the list of IVOA documents and standards, among which:
- Simple Cone Search
: This specification defines a simple query protocol for retrieving records from a catalogues of astronomical sources.
- Characterisation Data Model
: Data Model for astronomical dataset characterisation, which defines and organised the metadata describing an observation product
- Simple Image Access V1.0
: SIAP defines a protocol for retrieving image data from a variety of astronomical image repositories through a uniform interface

: SSAP defines a uniform interface to remotely discover and access one dimensional spectra
