WP5 Kick Off meeting 30 November/1 December 2006

The aim of this meeting is to collect the interests about Grid activities and to verify what we actually expect from computational and data Grid. Therefore one of the goals this meeting is to make an inventory of Grid initiatives and experiences related to Astronomy and Astrophysics, to exchange those experiences and to collect inputs coming from all of you.

The meeting will be organized in Trieste at the Astronomical Observatory and it will last for two days, 30 November 2006 and the 1 December 2006. Participants will dedicate the first day to presentations, while during the second day we will overview the result of the first day activity and we will discuss about our plan for the next months.

How to reach the Astronomical Observatory

The Astronomical Observatory is located in "Villa Bazzoni", Via Bazzoni in downtown Trieste.

The Astronomical Observatory is accessible by the following routes:

• from Trieste, Piazza Oberdan, by Bus no. 16,15 (take off at via Tiepolo)
• from Trieste, Central Train Station, by Bus no. 24 (take off at via S. Giusto)
• from Trieste airport (located in Ronchi dei Legionari), by regular bus service n. E51 (the bus stops at Bus station near the Central Train Station)
• from Venice airport, by bus service to the Mestre train station and then train from Mestre to Trieste.
