Finding partners for WP5-Outreach activities

At the moment I am focusing on schools and teachers in Thuringia. First, because I already have many contacts here and second, because astronomy is a seperate compulsory subject in thuringian schools.

27.11.2008: Meeting with people from the AIU Jena. We discussed, if WP5 Usecases can be used in the courseworks for lectures at the AIU Jena.

05.12.2008: Meeting with Prof. K.H.Lotze (head of the "Didactics of Astronomy"-departement of Jena University). Prof. Lotze is very interested in the VO-tools. I was asked to give a talk and one (maybe two) workshops at the "Tage der Schulastronomie", a conference for school-teachers in June in Jena. He also presented EURO-VO info Material at the "Südthüringer Tag der Astronomie".

12.12.2008: Meeting with students pursuing a teaching certification in astronomy/physics in Jena. I will talk with some students about strategies and problems when using VO-tools in classrooms.

04.02.2009: Meeting with Astronomieschule

Translating Aladin and create a german version.
