for the observed sources to investigate the bright end of the globular cluster luminosity function of the central Fornax giant elliptical galaxy NGC 1399.
The question was whether there is an significant overlap between the LF of the newly discovered UCOs (e.g. Phillipps+ 2001ApJ...560..201P) and the brightest GCs.
Our results show that the overlap is significant and consistent with the UCOs being bright globular clusters (GCs). in source:NAME Fornax Cluster Ref:=2002A&A...383..823M byMIESKE S. , HILKER M., INFANTE L.
