| Note: | The recently completed DEEP2 Galaxy Redshift Survey gives the most detailed view of the z∼1 Universe currently available. Using the DEIMOS spectrograph on the Keck II telescope, DEEP2 obtained spectra for about 50000 galaxies out to z=1.4. The survey covers about 3 square degrees of sky, split over four separate fields. One of the fields is the Extended Groth Strip, which has IAU acronym designation EGSD2 and format JHHMMSS.ss+DDMMSS.s. DEEP2 will be used for the galaxies in the remaining three fields.
