EBLM (Eclipsing Binaries with Low Mass)
Write:<<EBLM JHHMM+DD>>
N: ∼500
Object:EB*Algol  (SIMBAD class: EclBin = Eclipsing Binary)
Note:The EBLM project is an offshoot from the WASP, planet search program. Planets and low mass stars (under 0.2 solar mass) produce similar photometric eclipses when they pass in front of solar type, main sequence stars. While the planets are being published with a WASP indicative, we will publish the binaries under an EBLM name. Two papers were already published (Triaud et al. 2013A&A...549A..18T, Gomez Maqueo Chew et al. 2014A&A...572A..50G) but did not use this notation. The first paper contains a good description of our goals, the two most important being a confirmation of the brown dwarf desert, and a mass/radius/luminosity/metallicity relation for stars at the bottom of the main sequence.

We have submitted a third paper containing the orbital elements of 118 objects and have another 110ish eclipsing systems under survey. Because of he number of object, we would prefer calling them with a shorter name than the 1SWASP JHHMMSS.ss+DDMMSS.ss that they otherwise would have. It also facilitates our ways to track who will use our results and estimate our impact.
A fourth paper, measuring the mass and radii of a saturn-sized low mass star will be submitted within a fortnight. A fifth and sixth paper containing masses and radii are currently under preparation.
