KELT (Kilodegree Extremely Little Telescope) Write:<<KELT -NN>>
<<KELT -NNA>>
<<KELT -NNa>>
<<KELT -NNAa>> Object:* + Poss. Planet (SIMBAD class: Unknown = Object of Unknown Nature) Note:The KELT survey is a photometric synoptic search for transiting exoplanets. It is composed of two telescopes, KELT-North (http://www.astronomy.ohio-state.edu/keltnorth/Home.html) and KELT-South (http://my.vanderbilt.edu/keltsouth/).We have submitted for publication our first two discoveries (KELT-1b and KELT-2Ab), and we are preparing several more for announcements. We intend to use the KELT designation for transiting low-mass companions to stars, including both exoplanets and brown dwarfs. We keep to the convention of using "KELT-N" to refer to the host star, with the suffix "b" to refer to the eclipsing companion. In cases where the host star is physically associated with a second star, we follow the standard convention of referring to the host star as KELT-NA (when the host is the brightest of the stellar system).
