Ser., 76, 317-330 (1988) Possible new planetary nebulae in the IRAS point source catalogue. oTables IV and V list Planetary Nebula Candidates selected on IRAS colours. The historical choice of the acronym PN PM , where PN means confirmed Planetary Nebula, was thus not correct. This acronym PN PM has been kept only on confirmed PNe (83 in January 2023). A new acronym [P88b] PM N-NNN is going to be created in SIMBAD, with a default object type PN?. Until it is ready, please use the IRAS identifier. oTable IV: <[P88b] PM 1-NNN> (Nos 1-340) = <PN PM 1-NNN> (Nos 1-340). Table V: <[P88b] PM 2-NN> (Nos 1-48) = <PN PM 2-NN> (Nos 1-48). =E=Catalogue in electronic form as <J/A+AS/76/317/> Originof the Acronym: A = Assigned by the author(s)
