    • Prototype of an Aladin version allowing fast retrieval of predefined categories of objects (stars, galaxies, nebulae, etc)
  • SimPlay
    • Improvements of SimPlay features:
      • Display improvement : stars are displayed as circles or squares proportional to their flux
      • Update of displayed Simbad fields (added R, J, K magnitudes, removed some other fields)
      • Highlight of requested object name
      • SimPlay can now be embedded in any web page
      • Categories of objects can be shown/hidden in the GUI upon request
      • Development of a generic mode which allows one to display any VOTable associated with a FITS image
      • Various bug fixes

• WP6: Evolution of VO standards (resp CDS: AS)
  • Pour mémoire SAMP :
    • participation to the writing of the standard
    • integration of SAMP in Aladin and in the SPECFIND-comparison tool
      • Release of Aladin v6, which is SAMP compatible
  • Upgrade of the SAVOT parser to VOTable 1.2

  • Involved in the VOSpace 2.0 standard (writing of the document and implementation)

      • production release of the architecture (for the Portal and for the upcoming VOSpace 2.0)
      • following a request from a UK organization to provide a VOSpace interface to an existing iRODS system, Dave Morris is interested by our expertise in this domain

• WP7: DAL, DM, QL (resp. CDS: FB)
  • Trainee : Erdogan Solma (from 3/8 to 31/10) is working on mapping tools (Characterisation, dynamical extensions to other data models, etc.)
  • New AIDA position from 21/9 to 30/6/10, Grégory Mantelet (will be in Trieste)

• WP8: assessment of emerging technologies (Web2.0, Semantics, data mining) (resp CDS: SD)
  • CDS services mash-up : development of the CDS portal, a web-based tool allowing an integrated search among CDS services and facilitating cross-usage of services
    • Trainee : Benjamin Bertrand (april --> mid-august 09) : development of the conversion of saved tables from VOTable to CSV/TSV, prototype of a 2D/3D plotter for the portal, relying on STILTS
  • Setup of the software infrastructure for managing annotations on Simbad objects.
    • New REST interface (CDSAnnotationsService)
    • New functionalities for the visualization interface : ajax, filter, error notifications support, paging, answer to a comment support, ...
    • Administration panel : advanced visualization of all the annotations (see private ones, ...) and statistics
  • Assessment of Flex technology: development of SimPlay, a simple viewer for Simbad objects
  • The dictionary of nomenclature has been upgrated to the last Flex SDK with a few corrections and evolutions
  • Ontology automated instantiation process and complete mapping service done.
