The CDS Aladin team is pleased to announce a new major Aladin beta version available for tests (6.039).

This beta release incorporates three main new features :

• All sky browser (DSS color, IRAS-IRIS color & 4 individual bands, GLIMPSE color & 4 individual bands)

  ex : type your favorite object in the location field and press ENTER

• Healpix FITS map support (ex: WMAP, PLANCK...)

  ex: load this image this image

• Bookmark facility : see menu Tools > Bookmarks

Note: This new version requires at least 256MB of RAM for using correctly the Allsky browser (java -jar -Xmx256M Aladin.jar), 512 is better.
